My name is Joe and welcome to my blog, where I share my insights and tips on dentistry, as well as my personal experiences and thoughts on the dental field.

I created this blog to connect with other people who are interested in oral health, and to help demystify some of the common myths and misconceptions about dentistry. Whether you are a patient, a student, a professional, or just curious, I hope you will find something useful and enjoyable in my posts.

A little bit about myself:

• I am the current owner, and principal dentist at Maroubra Dental Clinic. We aim to make the whole experience to be as pleasant as possible for patients so that they can Smile With Confidence.

• I grew up in Christchurch and graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand and started working in beautiful Sydney since 2011.

• I have been involved with the Australian Dental Association ever since working in Sydney and is a past Chairman of the Recent Graduates Committee (NSW branch), advocating for the continued education and improvement for its young dentist members, and continues to contribute to the profession since.

• My main interests are orthodontics and am a certified Invisalign provider.

• Fellow of the International Collage of Dentists (ICD) (Section 8 - Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific)

• Past University of Sydney Clinical Educator (for first and second years)

• Current secretary of the Australian Asian Association of Dentists
